I have a few additional questions:
I have attached a screen shot of the example
1st Example: There are 13 green bars, because I would have a setting of minimum of 6 green bars before entering a short position it would trade short at first red bar.
2nd Example: There are only 3 green bars, so since I have a minimum of 6 green bars, it would not take a short position on the first red bar. It would wait until either there would be a minimum of 6 green bars or 6 red bars before entering in the opposite direction. So it would need at least 6 green bars before entering short on a red bar or at least 6 red bars before entering long on a green bar.

Mark

Hi Mark,
Thanks for your queries and please find responses below:
Control Center Strategies Tab – Do you have to have it on a chart? (Other strategies I can create and set parameters using the Strategies Tab)
- You can use what you do for other strategies, there is no difference for it to set your parameters.
Multiple Accounts – I have 5 accounts & 7 futures instruments I trade, which in total gives me potentially 35 strategies all running at the same time. Can I do this with this strategy? (I am also interested in your other strategies, but I want to test this one first)
- You should be able to use it on multiple instances. But if you are using multiple instances on the same instrument and same account, that might be a problem; and that should be the case for any strategy.
Optimization – Are you unable to optimize these based on timeframe, Bar # for entry, trailing stop, etc…?
-For some of our strategies you can't use NinjaTrader 8 standard anlyzer for optimization and backtesting. However, you can use forward testing using market replay and sim account which would give you more realistic performance insights. If you are forward testing, then you could change different parameters to find the suitable settings for your strategy for instruments and markets.
Bar # for Entry – I understand how this works, but I was hoping there was another setting that I might want to see if you can customize. In the screen grab below you’ll see to avoid trading in “Consolidation” periods, I would want it to only enter a trade if the previous bars were at least a certain # (Optimizable) in one direction (color).
- If you want to customize any of our strategy, you can send that request through by clicking here and fill out the form.
